Payroll Account Manager

Fast growing family owned ASO is seeking a Payroll Account Manager to support a growing base of clients utilizing our payroll and workforce management services. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for 100–150 client accounts, ensuring accurate payroll processing, time entry integrity, and system optimization.
This position is remote in eastern or central time zones.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a book of 100–150 payroll clients across multiple industries

Ensure accurate payroll processing, including review of timekeeping data and exception handling

Serve as subject matter expert on ApexHCM and Swipeclock platforms

Audit and validate time entry, PTO tracking, and payroll data prior to processing

Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve client issues in a timely manner

Train and support clients on payroll and timekeeping systems

Assist with onboarding new clients, including system setup and implementation

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations


Qualifications:
2+ years of payroll processing or payroll client services experience

Experience with ApexHCM and Swipeclock.

Strong understanding of payroll tax, compliance, and timekeeping practices

Experience in a PEO, payroll provider, or accounting firm preferred
